SESSION 3 – The Live Crisis Sandbox: Stress-Testing Climate Solutions from Systems Diagnosis to Action

Description: Participants synthesise Systems Thinking and Dynamic Work Design by tackling a live, high-stakes scenario: The Persian Gulf Region’s Summer 2026 Heat Crisis, balancing surging cooling demand, workforce transitions, and emergency grid decarbonisation goals. Teams map feedback loops, resolve operational handoffs, submit predictions via Slido, and evaluate models against real-world data. To close the series, participants complete an individual application canvas identifying a specific policy or curriculum workflow they can immediately improve using the tools.
Key Learning Outcomes:
- Apply causal loop mapping and workflow redesign independently to live, unfamiliar, high-stakes environmental challenges.
- Formulate high-leverage intervention points that prevent policy backfire and resolve coordination breakdowns.
- Create a personalised implementation roadmap to apply the provided Dynamic Work Design and Systems Thinking toolkits to their own projects.
