The 29th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP 29) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) will convene from 11 to 22 November 2024. It will take place at The Baku Stadium located in the Capital City of Azerbaijan.

Session: UN-Water Analytical Brief on Water for Climate Mitigation
This session aims to disseminate key findings from the brief, discuss practical strategies for integrating water into climate policies, and foster collaboration among policymakers, experts, and stakeholders in support of achieving climate change mitigation goals.
The IUCA has supported the UN-Expert Group on Water & Climate Change to prepare this UN-Analytical Brief on 'Water for Climate Mitigation'. The brief draws extensively on the IUCA study undertaken in collaboration with the UN-Water Expert Group on Water and Climate Change, on the water requirements of climate mitigation measures.
