The Executive Committee is the governing body of the International Universities Climate Alliance (IUCA). Its members are the executive leadership of the Member Universities. The Executive Committee meets virtually on an annual basis to review the strategy, initiatives, annual budget and management of the Alliance.
In 2025 the Executive Committee heard updates from Alliance Chair, Professor Attila Brungs, Vice-Chancellor and President, UNSW Sydney, and Global Academic Lead, Scientia Professor Matthew England. The Executive Committee heard key updates on the Strategic Program 2023-2025.
Members also heard from special guest speakers including; Vice Chancellor Professor Robert Van de Noort CBE and Professor Andrew Charlton-Perez from the University of Reading; newly appointed Vice Chancellor for Sustainability Andrew Mayock, from the University of Colorado Boulder; and QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) Chief Innovation Officer Dr. Maria Spies.
